The first stage in turning a hollow form is to begin removing the bulk of the material from the center of the vessel. This process is accomplished with the No.1 tool which is designed to bore holes as small as 5/8" in diameter. Featuring a 1/2" wide stainless tool post, the tool can safely be extended 4-1/2" past the tool rest to accomplish this task.
