Jelutong Wood Carving Stock
Jelutong (Dyera costulata) wood is white or straw colored, and there is no differentiation between heartwood and sapwood. The texture is moderately fine and even, the grain is straight, and the luster is low. This wood is very easy to dry with little tendency to split or warp, but staining may cause trouble. It is easy to work, finishes well, and glues satisfactorily. Jelutong is often used in much the same manner as Basswood. Because of its low density and ease of working, it is great for carving, patternmaking and other small specialty wood items. Features: Specifications: What's Included: Notes:
